![]() ![]() We had just enough episodes for an opportunity to get closer and closer to her true self, but I felt like this arc was very rushed. ![]() It's really disappointing because Dave was one of the kost realistic characters AT ALL that season and they threw all of that down the drain, very much ruining his character. I thought he would prioritize and focus on the money and balance out his feelings for Sky, but they unfortunately took over him and that's the only thing he cared about. Then he becomes enraged finding out Sky had a boyfriend and that he's essentially been played the whole time, causing him to do anything it takes to hurt Sky and win just to split the money just to burn a valuable $500,000 infront of someone. He becomes a major crybaby and tends to be super whiny, STRONGLY shown in the finale. His dynamic and character went horribly downhill because of this. He even ends up eliminating himself just because Sky rejected him and he couldn't get the girl. He starts becoming obsessed over Sky and doesn't focus on the money, like he came for. Yet as soon as he starts falling for Sky. In the first episode we see that he's serious about this competition and gets tired of his teammates willingly going along with Leonard's plans of building a Wizard's Tower. In his audition tape he strives to be ruthless, focus on the money. Take a look at Dave for reference, since he's the best example for this. This is a very big problem I have with this season. The characters felt very inconsistent. Another example of the lack of realisticness is Chris being a Hologram and being able to cause the plane to malfunction.Ģ ) Lack of dynamics, bad character development, and character fluidity. Yet her execution was good because she does what her concept was related to acting like a princess, singing, peaceful intentions, etc. Not such a good concept especially because it felt very unrealistic. He should've been the first boot, not Beardo. That doesn't necessarily mean his character is that good though (yet I wouldn't call it horrible) because I honestly found him pretty annoying although he did have his funny bits. Leonard's concept just felt random and yet his execution was actually good because he turns out to be who you would perceive him to be : a teen who actually thinks he's a real like wizard. The character concepts were also pretty unrealistic. I feel like this takes away from the Reality TV Show Total Drama was meant to be. I doubt you would actually walk outside and see an Ella, Max, Rodney, Shawn, or Leonard despite people related to their type of character undoubtedly existing. Most of the characters felt very unrealistic.
